August 6-day Summer Intensive - ONLINE - Yoga in the Garden Workshops/Retreat 2020

A full 6 days of guided and themed workshops, exploring and clarifying all the significant relationships between the major structures of the body. The event will be recorded and available for the attendees.

Interactive:  £247 for the week (Sunday - Friday) OR £50/day* (see drop in terms below) - 11 places only

View-only (non-interactive):  £127 for the week OR  £25/day**(see view-only terms below)

What to expect.

Over the course of the week,  Marc will be sharing with you the distilled secrets of his 20 years of experience of the fundamental practices of yoga. 

Each morning workshop will begin promptly at 10:00am with a welcome and a short introduction to the day's content and what you might expect to gain from it. 

There follows some gentle guided exploratory practice to sensitise you to the relationships on offer, followed by some practical application of these relationship in some more familiar postures.  

There is then a short tea break mid morning followed by a Q&A on the earlier part of the session (you can have your tea with you of course).

 Marc may well include some practical anatomy to shed light on the answers, and there will inevitably be some direct physical exploration to bring the details into a direct somatic experience. 

Each workshop ends with at least 15 - 20 minutes of a guided deep relaxation/meditation to give the body-mind a chance to fully integrate the day.

The afternoons are yours to do as you please. But if you really wish to get the very best out of the work and if you are intending to treat these series of daily workshops as your own personal retreat, make sure you have space over the rest of the day... 

Of course you can just rest if that's what you need, but Marc also feels that spending some time with nature is an essential ingredient of any retreat, as is good food, gentle company, and alone time.  Take plenty of time simply to be... then you will have the space to absorb and explore the true relevance of what you have picked up from the morning's session.

Daily morning themed workshops: 10:00am-1:00pm:

DAY1:  From the feet back.... Feet, ankles, knees, hips and pelvis ~ through to the core of the body

DAY2: From the hands back...  Hands, wrists, elbow joints, shoulders and girdle ~ through to the ribs 

DAY3: Between the heels and the spine, via the girdles, the core and the ribs ~ centering in the heart   NB: On this day, there will be an additional Q&A session available from 5pm (for 60-75mins) ~ optional for all retreat attendees.  

DAY4: The head & hands, the sacrum & feet ~ from the heart out through the entire structure.

DAY5: The axial breath ~ the fundamental basis of all harmonious structural relationships (and organ health). NB: On this day, there will be an additional Q&A session available from 5pm (for 60-75mins) ~ optional for all retreat attendees.  

DAY6: Integration ~ learning to let go into new strength, new ease, new simplicity.

Recordings:

Workshops are recorded and by taking an interactive place you are giving consent for its use.  There will be two recordings for each session - one of Marc's teaching, and the other of the group's responses.  If you book for the full week  both interactive and view-only)  you will have life-long access to the recordings of each day via a dedicated page on the acquaviva website (videos can be downloaded)   Drop-in attendees will need to ask for a download link for the day(s) attended.

*Drop-in:

There are 11 interactive places only - so drop-in day bookings are subject to cancellation should someone wish to book for the week.  If you book a drop-in place and it has to be cancelled, of course you will receive a full refund if you choose.  View-only places are always available, so if your day-place is cancelled you will have an option to take a view-only place with a partial refund.

If you wish to take a 'view only' spot,  there is no way that Marc can monitor your practice, so by booking this ticket you are accepting FULL responsibility for your own body... If following any instruction or suggestion leads to a difficulty, know that there is nothing in the instructions that should cause that to happen - so back off from what your are doing and re-approach to see if you can re-interpret what is being said in a way that leads to a better outcome.
